Pocher became particularly well-known for his provocative and satirical style in numerous TV shows and comedy formats. In addition to his work as a presenter, he also worked as an actor and was a regular presence in entertainment programs as well as his own television shows. His private life also attracted significant media attention, notably due to his relationships and marriages to Sandy Meyer-Wölden and Amira Aly—with whom he also co-hosted a podcast.
In 2008, Pocher won one million euros during a celebrity special of *Wer wird Millionär?* (the German version of *Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?*), which he donated entirely to charitable causes. He has received multiple awards for his social commitment to child welfare and serves, among other roles, as the patron of the Ronald McDonald House in Sankt Augustin.
